On Sunday the parish priest said that for the next 12 months we will be praying for one vocation in Dublin. Yes, one. Setting our ambition level low, I see. I wonder would it help not to cut out half of the potential candidates?

It would help!!
On another note, I am wondering if St. Nicholas will be making his annual visit this weekend?
St Nicholas will indeed be visiting. His agent on earth in the UK has let us down badly by promising to deliver on December 6 and emailing yesterday to say delivery is delayed to December 18. Emergency measures have been put in place.

St Nicholas can be a little erratic – he apparently arrived in my son’s office in Belgium today (3.12) – we think heust be prioritising the children on 6.12.
My correspondent reports that the marzipan was very popular!

Goodness, you’re not promoting the ordination of women? How ghastly. We’re not Anglicans!

I most certainly am.
That’s clearly it.
