Domestic Felicity

12 January, 2009
Posted in: Daniel, Dublin

We have a new carpet on the stairs, it is cheap, as these things go, and it is beige.  It has made me more happy than I believe a carpet should.

I wish, though, that we hadn’t got it laid the week we finally started toilet training Daniel.

    Oh dear.

I thought I was going to run off with our new refrigerator. It completes me.

The thing about this post that makes *me* unreasonably happy is the fact that you are just now toilet training Daniel. My Mia is a few months younger than your twins (?? she turned 3 on Jan 8 and I’m not remembering exactly when your boys’ birthday is) and I had gotten to the point of thinking that mine is the only 3 year old in the world who is not potty trained yet. Feeling like a bad, incompetent mommy! We are finally working on it too, though–no diapers during the day now! Hooray!

Kara, no sign of them leaving night time nappies or bottles behind either. Rejoice.
