More Religion

8 September, 2013
Posted in: Boys, Michael

Last Sunday, Mr. Waffle didn’t bring any religious books for the boys to read at mass. He felt that they were old enough to listen to the actual service. This brought some challenges. Michael, listening to the creed, evidently for the first time asked “Did they just say ‘descended into Hell’?” “Um, yes, we did, shh now.” “But” said Michael, all indignant, “he’s the good guy, why would he to Hell? Was he visiting friends?”

Question is, why was Apostles Creed used instead of Nicene. Apostles should only be usein Easter season?

Jenny, I think you are taking me well beyond my level of expertise here but haven’t we been using this creed since we got the “new mass”?

Oh dear, that wasn’t supposed to happen. A lazy approach. It’s Apostles Creed and Eucharistic Prayer 2 all round. I have only found one priest in two years who has used Eucharitstic Prayer 4 at all.
