Recession, what recession?

8 November, 2010
Posted in: Dublin, Ireland

On a rainy Monday in November, I rang the Winding Stair to book a table for 3 for dinner. We’re fully booked but maybe we can squeeze in your group at 6 or 9.30? In the end we went to FXB’s and got the last table. If the IMF is on the doorstep, no one’s told the punters.

Looking forward to the restaurant review tomorrow. Am happy to relate that Les Brasseries Georges (birthday treat!) was/were equally hopping on Saturday night

Ah yes, but has the Waffle household picked up its free cheese yet? There was a letter in the Guardian about Ireland’s ‘quantitative cheesing’ that made the other half cry with laughter

Glad BG was pleasant, ah it seems so long ago…
Ah the cheese, it has it’s own twitter hashtag, you know.
