There is an annual cartoon exhibition in our
local town hall. I saw the posters up
yesterday and they remind me that last year, we went to investigate with the
Princess. I asked the man at the
entrance whether the exhibition was suitable for small children. I meant was it more aimed at adults or were
there things a little girl might be interested in. They take their comics very
seriously in Belgium.
It’s an art form here and hence it was quite likely that the exhibition
might be for grown-ups rather than children.
The nice man on the desk said “Absolutely, there is no
pornography”.

Having read a few Belgian comics/graphic novels/whatchacallem, yes, they can be, um, a bit….unusually frank in places.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re pornographic.
…
No, I might edit that remark a little. Here goes:
Yes, lots of them are sheer Filth. But artful Filth.
(That’s better). 0

Porn is in the eye of the beholder.
(Well, maybe not the eye) 0
